24 Hours Beta Tasting Robotic Burger, Chicken, Pizza, & Coffee Concepts In Seoul

This week, I had the pleasure of seeing four different robotic food and beverage concepts in Seoul, Korea from morning until evening. Below is a rundown of my day:

11 AM - Aniai HQ & BAS BURGER flagship

Last May during the National Restaurant Association conference, I highlighted automated burger griddle Aniai and finally made it to their HQ in the hipster neighborhood of Seongsu. The startup has six of its robots installed at fast casual burger concepts including BAS and Downtowner. It is the sole Korean foodtech startup focused on a B2B "robot as a service" model that charges restaurants the equivalent of ~$1,300 per month to lease its hardware and AI. It cooks burgers in somewhat similar fashion to a salamander from the top and bottom vs. an articulated arm attempting to mimic a human Γ  la Miso Robotics.
